This morning we made Christmas bread.
My hatchlings like the 'jewels'.
Recipe: Christmas bread
2 1/2 cups bread flour
300ml warm water
1 sachet dried yeast
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup of each
chopped green glade cherries
chopped red glace cherries
raisins
sultanas
dried and chopped apricots
1. Add sugar to warm water and stir in yeast.
2. Add all fruit and spices to flour, then pour in water.
3. Knead well for 10 minutes
4. Bake at 375F for 35 minutes.
It makes excellent toast.
