Belated birthday post Hatchling no3

Once upon a time,

just six short years ago,

our lives were blessed,

with a sweet baby girl.

and precious 6 year old girl.

I don't know where the days have gone.

And I hope I have treasured them as much as they deserve.

Because each day with you has been better than before.

Your sense of humour and tender heart,

thank you.

And happy 8th birthday.

Advent interrupted and a 2nd birthday

Too many events, tummy bugs and a visitor,

have meant that I have struggled to keep blogging,

while life went past, too quickly.

This cat is a shameless photo bomber. I took 6 photos of hatchling no5 opening this present, and in every one, the cat is going past, in a different direction.

These two boys love trains.

Hence, a very large bridge was quickly assembled, with the new train tracks.

City planners.

And city destroyers.

We now have plenty of track. What we need, now, is a larger sitting room.

A big brother's enthusiasm makes any present ten times better.

And cake.

For a bashful boy.

Happy 2nd birthday hatchling no5.

You bring us joy every day, and you truly are a blessing.

I will try to catch up with the advents tomorrow.

It is awfully cold out today, and my suggestion we go somewhere

was met with all the stoney daggers a newly seven year old could muster.

'I'm going to stay in and play. No friends; just me, my family, and my presents.'

I can't argue with that.

She quickly added,

'And don't forget the cake!'

Well, today is hatchling no4's 2nd birthday.... sniff he is getting so big, so quick. He is perfect and precious and a good helping of naughty. He does not have a mean bone in his body but boy can he spread toys through a house with alarming speed.
We celebrated his birthday first by playing with his new train set in the sunlight coming through the window, in the exact same room as he was born, just a very short while ago. It is so cool to see him grow more and more into who his is. Though each and everyday, I would gladly keep him just as he is.

He was a little shy about his cake.

But he got there in the end, with a little help from daddy. 

The chocolate cheese cake quickly disappeared.

Unfortunately for us daddy dragon had to fly off back to work. So I asked the birthday boy where he wanted to go for his birthday. 

It will probably be no surprise, that he said... Wicks!

Lol. Well, I needed more packing tape and some screws anyways.

And so off to Wicks we went. To touch all the hammers, and screw drivers. 

To open and close all the cabinets, and turn all the faucets.

To try out all the display ovens, and light fixtures.

But now this little guy is asking for dinner.

'Need sumpting tasty Mama, I hungee'
