A beautiful Monday

Let me introduce Mrs. Sheep, gosh, can she chat the day away.

And here are her beautiful babies.

A little boy picked bunches of flowers,

while hatchling no6 slept.

We stopped at the park,

and this guy

really likes to swing.

He makes me so happy.

And these two boys played football in the sun,

 and even shared the ball!

Hope your Monday was as happy and sunny as ours.

Back to Saturday activities

Saturday activities have started again for the term and make for an early morning routine.

This little lady is very cheerful today.

'Am I going too?'

'Yay!'

Now, off on an adventure!

Always more to go around

The hatchlings had a birthday party to attend today.

At which I was asked if I didn't worry about not having enough to go around.

How am I going to have enough time and attention to give a 6th child.

It is funny how blunt and rude people are happy to be.

(Same person asked me if they were ALL my husband's children too.)

And yes, they are.

The humorous part is that, I have worried each and every time we decide to have another child. 

That I won't have enough, be enough, to meet their every need, whim and want.

Then reality kicks in.

I'm not in this alone.

There are big sisters who can't wait to read stories while I help a two year old to the potty.

(This is home education.)

Songs are not solely sung in my voice alone.

This baby girl practically has her very own devoted choir.

Secrets and kisses are shared in abundance.

And there is plenty of love to go around.

The best part of this ever growing family is that with every new person that comes into our family there is more to go around.

Hatchling no6

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and wished us well when I announced our pregnancy.

I would very much like to introduce our newest hatchling.

Eight and half pounds of cuteness.

She came into the world on the 22nd of March,

and has changed our family completely.

We are over joyed and very blessed.

Happy birthday hatchling number 4!

Sometimes, I look down to see whose feet have come pattering up behind me,

and I am amazed each and every time, at just how big you have grown.

You are such a charismatic person, quick to make friends.

Adored by your big sisters,

since the day you brought us

the little feet we had been missing.

You've joined us on this crazy adventure.

Through sticky times,

and smooth,

showing us new ways to find joy.

We love you so much.

Happy 4th Birthday!

Quiet days

There is a time for all things.

Someone wise once said.

And these days, have been, in a hairy and slightly topsy turvy way,

quiet days.

Days, where we make 15 phone calls to unravel the days plans, because the winds roar with indignation and the sea stands upright, ready to high five anyone gutsy enough to ask it to settle down in the face.

There have been storms all over the country, which have undoubtedly changed many lives. I can only hope that they are able to find peace at the end of this season.

For us, plans foiled, have meant more afternoon naps. 

Less running from one place to the next.

Lots more time to spend together,

 indulging our interests.

This winter seems determined to go out with a bang.

Yet, spring is just around the corner, crouched down, poised to released its boundless energy, and I wait with anticipation for what it will bring.

Until then, I will treasure these quiet days.

It may, after all, be another year before we have another.
