Happy Easter!

Some fudgy brownies

and

lots of squares and cakes,

french toast for breakfast,

before a successful

egg hunt.

Marshmallows 

and ridiculous quantities of chocolate,

before painting

all the duck eggs we could find.

Then,

time for a lunch of sandwiches

and a good run around outside.

Hatchlings do not like to wait for holidays.

Remind you of anyone?

Not wanting to wait for the good stuff.

Today they made chocolate birds nests.

Somehow the chocolate fix wasn't enough.

At bedtime tonight...

Sigh.

Happy Easter

After a successful egg hunt,

this little guy gave his jumperoo a try, 

let the chickens out free for the first time,

and then went for a drive.

To check out

a new beach,

where a puppy found many good things to chew,

and helped the hatchlings dig for treasure.

All in all

a very happy easter.

(I'll get to the journey soon... but it was long, really long. Did I mention tough? 'Cause it sure was! Though now we are here and very very happy.)
