About us
We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

Friendship
A boy
and
his dog.
(It was only after I took the photos, that I realised, hatchling no5 was picking up chicken poo and feeding it to the dog. Ick! )

Naughty is as naughty does
'I swear, I did not eat your bag of organic stoneground bread flour.'
'You umm, did not want those bulbs in there anyways, right?'
'Don't look so disappointed, you know I hate going poop outside.'

Gentle November morning
The sun rise over the frosty field was beautiful this morning,
and two puppies watch the turkeys dance.
'It is too cold to play outside.'
I am sure that is what their expressions say.
Girl puppy closes her eyes for photos, every time.
I do not know why.
The turkeys stand and watch the sun come up, all city of angels like.
Then they primp and pluck,
and do their look at me I'm so handsome dance.
The girls watch and rate them.
You think I am talking about the female turkeys?
I'm sure they judge them,
but I'm referring to my Strictly come dancing obsessed hatchlings.
Who watch from the play room, and hold up score cards for the turkeys.
Strictly come turkey.
It is a thing.
At least, it is here.

Daphney
She is sweet sometimes,
depends on if you are sharing that cookie, or does she need to take it from you!
And she is very adored by a bunch of hatchlings.
Happy 8 months old!

So uh... are we going, or not?
Seriously, you humans.
Socks on, socks off, socks on.
Coats on, trousers off, then something about a missing bear?
In.. out, in... out.
Cut the hokie pokie, and let's go!

Not a cloud in the sky
At four thirty two this morning, I awoke to the cockerel crowing, and looked out into this beautiful cloudless sky.
Perhaps, it is due to the sun's warmth that these animals seem to have grown leaps and bounds overnight.
Check out the ducklings.
And girl puppy. She is growing more and more beautiful.
We manufactured a door for the fence, and then went down to the beach.
To look for mussels.
That little boy has out grown yet another pair of boots! He was very pleased when these arrived in the post.
These two girls are growing bigger and more confident. They went off on their own adventure.
Hatchling no1 is looking over my shoulder. 'What? How did you take a picture? I didn't think you could see us!'
Lol. Yeah, because mamas stop watching their hatchlings when they take off to the land of make believe.
I must source a real recorder.
Because she has been banished outside,
blowing that thing for over 24 hours, certain she is creating music. Beautiful music.
Can you hear it?
I need to get her a proper one. This can not go on.

A night in the daffs
I try to be a good puppy mama, I really do.
When I told dear Drogo: Do not eat the pineapple. I kinda meant it.
Fast forward a few hours, a puppy paced and scratched in his crate, exploded for a three foot radius at 11pm, 12:20am, then again at 1:15am, and was whining and pawing at the door at 3am, well I just wanted some sleep.
So out he went.
Turfed out on his peedie 'ninky tush. (To quote local dialect)
I found him face down in the daffs.
Rough night boy?
Now, I am going to chug my coffee and get the carpet shampooer out.
Oh the glamour.
