About us

We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

Christmas photos

Happy Holidays from our family to all of you and yours.

I think I might as well accept,

that once daddydragon returns for the holidays,

my blogging pretty much ceases.

Things do not slow down here,

and then the addition of a very missed part of our family,

throws blogging to the bottom of my list.

Hence, I am posting our annual

photo dump of holiday pictures.

To share the joy and happiness,

of our growing hatchlings,

through our holidays.

We have been very blessed this year,

a new home,

new friends,

new baby,

 and so many new opportunities.

We are so very thankful.

I can not say how very thankful we are for the many,

and I can not stress, the MANY people who have welcomed us

into this new community.

I am overwhelmed and very thankful.

And las but not least,

I should thank

the furred, feathered, shelled,

and prickled,

friends,

who bless our lives with theirs.

Wishing you the very happiest holiday and the best of health and happiness in the coming year.

Happy 3rd Birthday Hatchling!

Each and every year we get to share with you is better than the last.

This year you became a big brother, and from your shortest fan, you are amazing!

You fill our lives with joy,

and we adore your youthful wit and charm.

You get bashful and cuddly, silly and exuberant, and we are all so blessed to know you.

Happy 3rd birthday, we love you so much.

Advent day 16: Lunch at the garden centre

We have a wonderful garden centre nearby, filled with festive displays, Santa, and activities,

so while we waited for Daddydragon's plane to land, we went and had lunch.

First cupcake.

It started to snow,

so we stopped to take a photo, and I nearly ended up in this stream, much to the hatchlings amusement.

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Advent day 15: Cookie cutter sweet ornaments

We filled our cookie cutters with hard boiled sweets and put them in the oven for 15 minutes at 160.

Advent day 14: Peg Angels

Advent day 13: Chocolate Lollies

They looked lovely, but the candy canes went gooey in the fridge, I'm not quite sure why.

These ones turned out better.

Advent day 12: Waves and doing christmas drawings.

The sea has not read the weather reports,

it is not ready to quiet down.

Can't you hear it singing, 'Waves gotta fight, for the right, to parrrrrrteeeeee.'

Hence, we spent a quiet day inside, doing school work and a christmas art lesson.

Hatchling no5, proudly told me of his drawing, 'Look Mama, I draw Santa's cowwwwes! Santa take their milk, but he need a be careful their horns. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!'

I love that boy, every tiny bit of him.

Advent day 11: Watching the lights

All warm and cozy, watching the lights.

Let it blow

The weather outside is frightening,

or rather lightning,

but the cookies, inside, are delightful.

Remember the road that was washed away last winter, just down the road from us, daddydragon,

that the council fixed... yeah, it is broken again. lol.

And since we've no place (or road into town) to go...

Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow.

(All the photos above have been taken from local community pictures taken by others today, which I have been offered permission to share. The hatchlings and I were not actually driving about out there taking pics.)
