We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

Cinnamon buns


Start with dough

1 pkg dried yeast
poured into 
200ml of milk 
100ml hot water
1 tbs of brown sugar

mixed with 

2 1/2 cups stoneground bread flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbs butter
1 egg

Knead the dough for 10 minutes and rest until doubled.

Roll it out into a large rectangle about 12 x 18 inches.

Mix 1 tsp vanilla with 3 tbs of butter, and spread on the dough.

Mix 1 cup of brown sugar with 2 tbs of cinnamon and spread over the butter.

Roll up and cut in to 1 1/2 inch slices.

Leave to rest until doubled in size.

Bake at 200 for 25 mins.


Yum.

Then for the cinnabon experience, add cream cheese icing.

200g cream cheese
200g butter
1 tbs vanilla bean paste
1 cup icing sugar

Spread on hot cinnamon buns.

Fastest Cinnamon Rolls

Add a mocha and happiness just is.

  1. if you sprinkle some pearl sugar on the buns before they go in the oven, they are what us Swedes call ''kanelbullar' hehe and it makes them look a little prettier too =)...seeing this had made me want to do some now, perfect for this stormy autumn day we are having ;D Happy Friday!
