The girls helped make ours this morning and have penned the recipe we use in their journals. Hence, I thought I'd share it here.
Hatchling Hot chocolate
300g Dark chocolate bar broken into pieces
(we use plain dark chocolate but have enjoyed different kinds with chilli, and mint)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 tsps of sugar
Whisk together over medium heat in a sauce pan. Whisk it continually to keep it frothy, until the chocolate has melted.
You can continue to heat until your preferred temperature, but hatchlings don't like burnt tongues, so we pour into mugs now.
Top with whipped cream, and sprinkles, marshmallows, or mini smarties.
