Strawberry cream cake

It is cake week on GGBO.

So this is our cake contribution. Definately, wouldn't impress Mary Berry, but it was delicious.

You can smell it in the air, that change is just around the corner.

Our day light diminishes, as we speed towards the eqinox.

As such, we are taking every opportunity to play outside before the wind makes it such a lot harder.

First week back to school/ home education

It went well. 

Busy, as it should be with new schedules, activities,

And a hatchling or two missing from our home based activities.

Though we miss them, they are chasing their own adventures in the big world, and we are excited for them.

Back in our little bubble we focused heavily on art, litterature and spelling.

It wasn't without math, history or latin.

The hatchlings are actually incredibly eager to pursue si many subjects and goals, the main difficulty is fitting it all in.

It was a gentle and productive week, which I hope will be the exact start to go on that we need.

Did anyone else read that little pocket book Dr.Zargle's book on humans.

Completely irrelevant to the post, aside from the title.

We learned by trial and error and as with most things along our journey, we had a lot of fun.

It isn't stylish, but we got there and hopefully, next year we might get it done a little faster.

Christmas cake time again

It comes around so quickly each year, but this year has to have been the fastest yet.

This Sunday, past saw the first of our Christmas cakes baked, and the smell has me longing to make mince pies. I love summer; nonetheless, I do look forward to the shorter, darker days spent inside baking.
