About us
We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

Cherry turnovers
I recall fondly, these pilsbury turnovers from the 90s.
But they don't sell such products here, and when the hatchlings were pleading for a puff pastry recipe to eat along side the patisserie week of the GBBO, they seemed an easy accompaniment.
While not from kit, they came out just like the pilsbury ones.
Some sort of strange but pleasant blast from the past.

On the first day of autumn
We began with the start of our autumn tree.
We went through the bag of leaves collected from the town park,
to make leaf prints.
Then a little cutting,
a lot (5 sticks worth) of glueing,
to make a family of owls
to perch in our tree.
Now the hatchlings, with new glue sticks to hand, have started on hedgehogs, to scurry along the ground.
Happy Autumn

Autumn soft dough
The idea was to make autumn leaves.
Scented in cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
We thought they would make nice ornaments to fill clothes drawers with nice smells.
The practice has been quite a bit different.
2 Sonic the hedgehogs, 4 snails, and an entire flock of angry birds.
Nonetheless, it sure smells good in here.

Belated anniversary post
Your mouth is a revolver firing bullets in the sky.
Your love is like a soldier, loyal till you die.
Your love is like a soldier, loyal till you die.
And I’ve been looking at the stars for a long, long time.
I’ve been putting out fires all my life.
I’ve been putting out fires all my life.
Everybody wants a flame, but they don’t want to get burnt.
And today is our turn.
And today is our turn.
Days like these lead to, nights like this leads to love like ours,
You light the spark in my bonfire heart.
You light the spark in my bonfire heart.
People like us, we don’t need that much.
Just someone that starts, starts the spark in our bonfire hearts.
Just someone that starts, starts the spark in our bonfire hearts.
This world is getting colder. Strangers passing by.
No one offers you a shoulder. No one looks you in the eye.
No one offers you a shoulder. No one looks you in the eye.
But I’ve been looking at you for a long, long time.
Just trying to break through, trying to make you mine.
Just trying to break through, trying to make you mine.
Everybody wants a flame, they don’t want to get burnt
Well today is our turn.
Days like these
nights like this leads to love like ours,
You light the spark in my bonfire heart.
People like us,
we don’t need that much.
Just someone that starts, starts the spark in our bonfire hearts.
Thank you for planting dreams, growing blessings and building this life with me, my love.
Keeping up with the bigs
Our smallest hatchling has grown unbelievably fast.
She is still such a wee dolly, but she insists on keeping up with the bigs, in every way possible.
Though she's not adverse to taking a ride here and there.
There has to be some upside to being this short.
Paradise
When the sun shines
and the wind is down,
the water looks like glass.
Out on the bay,
the hatchlings
will play.
And we are thankful for such a gentle day.
