About us

We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

One thing out, another in.

Now, this is hardly true in our house; however, when I started chucking out toys, sorting out books, and bin bagging clothes for the charity shop, one particular hatchling was heard to say with glee, 'I feel a very prosperous yule coming!'

This year I've instigated a one item out for another in rule.

I haven't had the mental energy to truly do the best clear out,

as much as my house could use it.

Last year's stoptober and 100 items out was quite therapeutic.

It must have been anyway, I think I stop counting items I was getting rid of at around 500.

Nonetheless, I'm sort of late to the table this year.

And there are still more closets.

Pretty little island (Rousay)

The hatchlings and I have have been off on many adventures as of late.

Out on a search for our forever home.

These are our photos from Rousay.

Socialisation is crucial?

You can keep telling yourself this is okay.

But the dreams in which your dying are not meant to be the best you've ever had.

It's getting cold outside

Has anyone else noticed the rather drastic change in the weather recently?

Time to put your furry lap warmers on.

This boy and this kitty are quite the pair.

Today, I am thankful for a patient kitty who follows this boy around, and repeatedly curls up on his lap, no matter how many times matchbox cars are driven down his tail and despite being used as a napkin post strawberry jam on toast.

He always returns, to be with this little boy.

(Truthfully, I think he's developed a taste for jam. I caught him on the counter cleaning jam off a left behind piece of toast… or maybe that was self preservation?)

While it is not always perfect, our animals have been a great blessing to our lives, and for all they give to my hatchlings, I am very grateful.
