About us
We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

Personalising
We don't have heaps of extra money lying around, and even if we did, I wouldn't want to indulge the hatchlings with a complete room makeover on every new whim.
But I do love wall stickers.
Such an a wonderfully inexpensive way for the hatchlings to personalise their little piece of the house.

Afternoon of play
Too much out of the house and waiting around means we were in pretty dire need of a lazy afternoon.
The boys love playing in rice.
(And colouring on themselves. He's not actually jaundice.)
Meanwhile, the girls gave each other makeovers to match the rag dolls.
Hope you are having a happy Tuesday.

We're busy...
I've not a clue what these hatchling are up to.
They have been out there for hours and hours,
and when I call them in for lunch they tell me 'Not yet. We're busy Mama.'

Pumpkin cheesecake
Today, is our test run for our care package to daddy dragon.
And I think we have finally settled on a recipe.
We are going to use this one and then tweak accordingly for the one we put in the post on Monday.

If you have a favourite pumpkin cheesecake recipe, I'd love to hear it.
Here's hoping our's turns out half as nice as this one.

Lunch today
The hatchlings found a new stash of eggs, so we figured given they are probably not all newly laid, we'd float test them and made the best of the abundance.

Afternoon in on a rainy day
The dispatch piggy crew are crazy drivers.
One big bunny gets lots of cuddles,
while she awaits the ambulance.
Finally, help has arrived.

Rock Climbing
It's week 5 of the hatchlings climbing course,
and it has been wonderful to watch their confidence grow.
This guy does his best to entertain me, while we wait.
Not all the hatchlings are finding climbing as easy as they had anticipated.
However, this fearless monkey
always makes it to the top.
Before shouting, 'weeeeee!',
while trying to maximise the pendulum potential of her rope as she swings her way down.
Thank goodness she has a patient instructor with a good sense of humour.
Two of the hatchlings have enjoyed the climbing so much they are debating switching up activities for next term to accommodate another climbing course, and one is sure it isn't for her. And I am thankful we've had the opportunity to give it a try.

Bad day
Some days,
Some Mondays,
are bad days.
Everything that can go wrong,
does.
People are impatient,
the car goes bang,
your head throbs,
and
it all starts to seem just a bit too much.
So, we sing a sad song,
and
accept we had a bad day.
Yet, we are blessed.
For tomorrow is a brand new day.
And there is so much hope,
the sun went down against a sky filled with so many colours,
and we are safe in our faith that it will rise again in the morning.
So today, you bad Monday you, goodnight.
We look forward to tomorrow.
