About us

We are a hard working, family of eight. Swimming in the sea when we aren't busy on our small holding. Daddy dragon has to work away a lot, so this blog is to let him keep up with our adventures at home.

Baking with hatchlings

One of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon is pottering in the kitchen with the hatchlings.

Buns to accompany soup are so easy, and they never seem to get tired of making them.

Now, the house smells of fresh bread baking, lentil soup simmering, and the home educated hatchlings just about finished their work for the day.

The sky is a gentle, lazy grey, and I am rather tempted to make it a movies and popcorn afternoon.

Happy birthday beautiful hatchling

Happy third birthday, hatchling no6!
You are the sweetest little girl.
Who loves puzzles, and music.

Your little face has brought us so much joy,
and you have amazing melted cheese hugs.
Your love of welly boots, and rainbow colours,
You are so wonderful.
Thank you for being our hatchling.
We are so blessed.

Working hard on becoming a biped

Our smallest hatchling is 14 months old, and she hasn't been terribly interested in walking.

Her older sisters; however, feel that her being carted about days should be numbered, and are putting some serious effort into getting her up and walking.

Hatchling no7 isn't completely convinced of the merits of walking when a cozy sling is so much more cozy, but as she becomes better at it, this walking lark is actually a lot of fun.

It won't be long now, and I suspect my wompat will be retired to the cupboard.

Bitter sweet.

Happy birthday hatchling no4

I don't know who gave this boy permission,

but he went ahead and turned 7.

Our boynado of happy, energetic, sweetness.

And for the hatchling who doesn't like itchy cake,

we had a melon man eating shark instead.

Before heading out to see the Lego Batman movie, which was pretty awesome.

Thank you for seven amazing years, hatchling no4.

We are so blessed.
