It was once good enough

This is the old pier where the ferry boat collected folk heading out to one of the smaller islands.

It looks steep, and ackward.

I can not imagine juggling hatchlings and shopping,

While the wind whips the sea up and down,

And yet, I am sure many a person found this adequate and suitable for their needs.

If needs be, after years of disuse, it looks as though it would stand up and provide steady service again.

A funny sort of thought, the sitting and thinking what we set aside that was once good enough.
